Frequently Asked Questions
How to get tuition assistance?
We have different partners like the Department of Human Services of Rhode Island (DHS), the Department of Labor and Training (DLT), The Rhode Island Indian Council (RIIC), and Office of Rehabilitation Services (ORS). If you have an open case with those agencies or would like to know if you eligible to open a case, please stop by our offices and we can give more specific information depending on your case.
Do I have to pay in full the tuition?
We have different options that allow you to arrange payment plans according to your needs. For payment plans may apply additional fees. At our office we have always an enrollment specialist ready to assist, stop by and get all the information.
Why the training course is not in Spanish “if the State Exam is now available in Spanish”?
This is one of the most recurrent questions we receive daily. The answer is: Yes, the exam is available in Spanish. However, there are 10 questions in English you have to answer to pass the test. If you fail the English comprehension questions you fail the whole exam. Additionally, the Health Department of Rhode Island has not authorized or communicated that licensed CNA training facilities are allowed to offer the CNA program in Spanish.
There are different companies offering the CNA course in Spanish, we encourage you to VERIFY if they are licensed programs.
Do you help me to get a job?
We do not guarantee a job for you. However, we work hard to bring the best agencies of New England to our Job Fairs. We make deals and sign partnerships to ensure our students get the best opportunities, wages and jobs. Every class has a job fair with more than 7 agencies on-site providing information and interviewing our students.
We encourage you to stop by our offices and get more info about agencies.
